Well Delivery & Configuration Solution - WDCS

Well Delivery and Configuration System (WDCS) is an integrated system for well charter and design publication, drilling processes, workflows, and field reporting systems. It is a single environment for exploration or exploitation geologists, geophysicists, and asset managers to ensure that the entire lifecycle of the well, from its original concept to its final as-built configuration, is followed. WDCS relates all the design, drilling, and completion data into a deliverable package while maintaining its configuration over several re-works, recompletions and field changes. It is based on a WTSML data exchange format and an internal operational model that is tailored from PPDM.

WDCS is intended to represent the well as an asset. By recording the system of the well, WDCS ensures that it is being completed as intended by the geologists and the reservoir engineers. These records provide look-backs in late stage production and can be used as collateral for divestiture of an asset.

• WDCS matures wells through various configurable stages of a maturation cycle (Plan, Develop, Execute, Operate)
• WDCS includes a comprehensive and configurable data model including header, location, financials, schedule, resources and other information
• WLMS captures and contextualizes well header information, well operations plans, reports and real-time well logs
• Each well stage contains a Business Information Framework including collaboration and communication tools, workspaces and document/data management systems to carry works-in-progress
• Toll-gates can be set up to be flexible or with strict criteria and controls as toll-gate reviewers are responsible for allowing prospects to mature from one stage to the next and toll-gates separate stages
• The solution combines well data and daily reports with financial data to allow tracking and visibility of commits against budgeted items
• WDCS is configured with a management dashboard for process control, visibility and easy data access.
• Traffic light indicators help monitor status of deliverables, and the overall status of individual wells
• Contractors use offline Excel/email facilities to submit updates for their deliverables on a cyclical or ad hoc basis
• WDCS provides controls for the Well Manager(s) to approve closure on the tracking process for individual wells
• WDCS can be configured with G&G Data Interfaces through TIBCO-OpenSpirit™, for viewing underlying well data from disparate sources
