Contextual Management of Information around Business Activity

The solution to the problems and issues of managing business information today can be centered on a few simple principles:

1. Group all information of all disparate types (emails, documents, data, meetings) related to a single context (business purpose, topic, matter, objective, goal, task, project, function, expertise)  and organize them under it (Fig. 5.1)

3. Check permissions and access to any content based on the contextual need-to-know while it is work in process; and allow for access by contextual authority or AD Roles once published based on compliance and security preference

4. Allow access to content from business contexts

5. Allow access to application from contexts. Define access needs to applications based on the business contexts that need the application as opposed to only user licenses. This will provide enterprises better control over application proliferation while ensuring that business always has access to the tools they need for their work. (Fig. 5.3)
