PointCross Ships 'SOXCom(TM)' a Rapid-Deployment
Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Solution, and 'Orchestra(TM) FDK' - A
Customer-Configurable Funnel Process Design and Deployment System
HOUSTON, April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- PointCross, Inc. is now shipping their
SOXCom solution for Sarbanes-Oxley, FASB 69, SEC, EU Privacy-Law compliance --
announced at the recent SPE's Digital Energy 2004 conference in Houston -- as
well as their Orchestra Funnel Development Kit (FDK) for deploying corporate-
wide Continuous Process Improvement models like Six Sigma, CMM, ISO, both
based on the Orchestra(TM) business information platform.
SOXCom seamlessly documents and enforces the workflow required by auditors
and for compliance after the Sarbanes-Oxley 404 board audit committee
assessment. SOXCom automatically sequesters all employees from their normal
email practice and infrastructure, so all communications will be first
captured, organized, classified, and contextualized before they reach the
target recipients. SOXCom is initially released as an enterprise solution
using a standardized and scalable configuration on WinTel Blade servers, and
is but one application built with the PointCross Orchestra technology.
Orchestra FDK provides all the building blocks needed for toll-gated
processes, including representation of different phases, specific checkpoints
and decision-tracking controls necessary from start to finish. The FDK
supports configuration of business rules and enables consolidated views of
projects, thereby providing immediate visibility into portfolios enterprise
wide. SOXCom is yet another solution built on the Orchestra platform.
"Orchestra FDK represents an entirely new way for business users to model
their processes in a fraction of the time and effort compared to traditional
solutions," said Suresh Madhavan, PointCross founder and CEO. "The net
result? Overnight, our customers will eliminate scores of home-grown database
applications and save money."
"Most importantly," continues Madhavan, "Our customers measure positive
ROI in weeks, not years, with quick and substantial wins."
"Our SOXCom compliance solution is just one application of our Orchestra
technology," concludes Madhavan. "We couldn't resist flexing our muscles and
showing the value we could quickly deliver by seamlessly integrating a
'contextualizing layer' between back-office e-mail technology and desktops
enterprise wide. SOXCom will go a long way to inoculate our customer's
companies against the risk and consequences of a governance breakdown. SOXCom
is just the tip of Orchestra's potential."
