PointCross’ Exploration maturation solution is a comprehensive stage-gated process solution that is used to mature exploration assets within a company. It is part of the IEPS suite configured on the Orchestra platform, and can also be deployed as a standalone solution.

• The Exploration Maturation Process solution matures prospective assets through various stages of a maturation cycle (Identify, Assess, Select, Define).
• Exploration prospects entering the funnel are associated with a set of metadata entered through online forms, or spreadsheets. Metadata include:
  • General Header information about the prospect
  • Geological Description
  • Risk and Uncertainty
  • Pre-drill Financial Metrics
  • Post Drill Assessments
• Each stage includes a Business Information Framework including workspaces, collaboration and communication tools, and document/data management systems to carry work-in-progress.
• Toll-gates separate stages and toll-gate reviewers are responsible for allowing prospects to mature from one stage to the next one. Toll-gates can be set up to be flexible or with strict criteria and controls.
• Skilled people and designated project managers are assigned to the project, and the expertise tracking capabilities of the Orchestra platform can be used to find the right skills in the a large dispersed company.
• Exploration prospects and their summarized metadata can be aggregated, filtered, sorted, and analyzed via interactive drilldown dashboards.
• Data from selected exploration prospects can be charted and viewed and users can drill down into the specific prospect’s metadata and the work products of the exploration activities.
